USD 461 and Technology
USD 461 is making many advances in technology. From online gradebooks that can be accessed anywhere to the online state assessment; Neodesha is keeping up.
Over the past couple of years, there have been many upgrades in USD 461's technology.
The district consists of mainly Macintosh computers. We now run through a proxy server called TwoTrees out of Wichita that helps crack down on inappropriate usage. TwoTrees also supplies an email site for students so they can communicate between home and school. The district has also upgraded to 3 Xservers (one for each school building) that allows "home directories" to be created for every employee and student in the district. This allows the user to have their own login to any computer in the district; meaning wherever they login, everything they have saved will travel with them. This prevents other users from accessing other people's stuff. Also, teacher gradebooks are now online. They can take attendance and enter their grades and parents and students have their own login to check attendance and grades. The state assessment is now online as well.If you have questions, you can contact
